Why is it that many Russian women are turning to Western men?

I have heard that lots of Russian women are starting to date western men. Most of them cause their men were bad husbands and fathers, also lots of drinking. Now this information migth not be all true. But if you know why are so many Russian women dating western men and mostly Americans please respond.

They are doing it to get to the US. My husband works with two men that got mail order brides from Russia. Also, my family is part Russian and my uncle started dating a Russian lady she married him after three months and got about 12 people from her family sponsored here. Then my uncle died and she didn’t even go to his funeral.
lol.. “honest answers” is full of something brown and smelly. A woman who marries an American has to wait a full year to get a green card, and then can sponsor her family… and they go in the 8-12 year waiting queue for a visa just like any other immigrant.
To generalize – Russian women like Western men because they pay attention to the woman, respect her, and do not mistreat her. American men who can afford to bring a Russian woman to the US tend not to be abusive drunkards. Add to that the fact that there are 7 men to every 10 women in Russia… and the Russian government estimates that out of that 7 men, 3 would be considered “good husbands” (saw this on the Russian news about a week ago). As you can imagine, based on that, most “good men” are already married in Russia.
The old wive’s tales of “they want to come to the US for a visa and greencard, and to move her family” are simply ignorant stories by people who have no clue about the world outside the borders of the USA, nor even our own immigration laws.
